Mediterranean Tuna Salad

This tuna salad is a healthy alternative to mayo-based versions and is tasty too! Serve over mixed greens with whole grain crackers or rice cakes. 


  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cucumber, quartered and sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 15 oz canned tuna, drained
  • 1 can of chickpeas, rinse and drained
  • 1/4 chopped or halved Kalamata olives
  • 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of parsley, chopped


  1. Mix red bell pepper, cucumber, red onion, garlic, tuna, chickpeas, and Kalamata olives in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Drizzle the olive oil and red wine vinegar in and stir to mix.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste. 
  4. Garnish the chopped parsley and serve cooled. Enjoy!
