Phil’s Star Story

“My journey isn’t over yet, but when I hit the 20 pound loss mark I felt extremely satisfied.”

Phil got an unwelcome surprise when his blood test results came back – his blood sugar levels were too high, and he was at risk for a diabetes diagnosis down the road.

Phil knew then and there he was ready for a change. “I decided I needed to lose weight and get fit. Shortly after I received an email telling me my insurance company provides a program called Brook+. When I saw Brook+ sends you a free scale and fitness tracker, I thought I’d give it a try.”

Phil started working the program on his own schedule, using his daily logged weights, steps, and food to keep him on track. He also worked with his Health Coach, Lindsay, to keep him motivated and navigate any setbacks.

“I have to say, my coach Lindsay is GREAT! Having her to chat with makes the program more personal, and she helps me with any bumps in the road that may pop up.”

Phil is 20 pounds down, and he’s noticing some big results in his day-to-day life, like more energy and better focus.

“I love being outdoors, hiking, biking, and kayaking. It’s a lot easier doing those things now. I have more energy, and I don’t get tired out as easily.”
